Ninja Warrior Competitions

Our competition team participates in our own in-house competitions, the Bay Area Ninja League and, eventually, in World Ninja League (WNL) and Ultimate Ninja Athlete Association (UNAA) events.

The number one rule for our comp team is to have fun doing something you love. Yes, we compete, but we're competing to have fun! We support our teammates and the competitors from other ninja gyms. We practice technique, strength and strategy so we can run a full length course. All of our in-house competitions (as well as BANL) award points for each obstacle conquered so even if you only complete one obstacle you're going to score points. If you'd like to give it a try, join one of our practices... we bet you'll be hooked!

Comp team practices are (TBD) and (TBD) afternoons.

UNAA Comps
March 22 & April 26
Ninja Republic is proud to be hosting two UNAA competitions this spring! On March 22 we'll be hosting a UNAA Local Qualifier and on April 26 we'll be hosting the UNAA Regional Qualifier. All podium finishers at the Local Qualifier will be invited to the Regional Qualifier; all podium finishers at the Regional Qualifiers will be invited to the National Finals in Dallas.

The Local Qualifier has a category for everyone so regardless of your skill level, you're invited to push your limits on a challenging course. Age categories start at 7U (7yrs and younger as of 1/1/25) and go all the way up to Pro Division and even 40+ and 50+. If you can run an obstacle course you can compete in UNAA!

BANL Info

BANL Season 4 wrapped up in January '25. We're pleased to confirm that BANL Season 5 will return in the fall of 2025. The information below is for Season 4 but you should expect it to be the same for Season 5.

These competitions will be for ALL LEVELS, with seven age divisions: 6-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14, 15-17, 18+, and Elite, which is open to all ages, but will have adult-sized obstacles and a much shorter time limit than the other divisions.
NO TRYOUTS ARE NEEDED - anyone who is age 6+ can register to compete. Divisions will run in separate heats, so look for an email a few days out with your athletes exact run time. All families are welcome to come earlier than their heat to strategize and stay later to watch the other age divisions. We recommend bringing your best grip shoes, athletic clothing, and a water bottle.
Competitors don't have to compete at every event, but each competitor will need to score 12 points to qualify for the Finals. Each competition will have two obstacle courses with individual time limits. Each course has six obstacles, and athletes will score one point for every completed obstacle. There is no limit to falls - if you fall, keep going until you have attempted every obstacle or run out of time!
It is possible to score all 12 points in a single qualifier, with two perfect runs on two obstacle courses. That strategy is as challenging as it sounds, so if your athlete wants to qualify for the Finals, we recommend planning to compete at least twice:

Competition 1 - TBD, Fall 2025
Competition 2 - TBD, Fall 2025
Competition 3 - TBD, Fall 2025
Competition 4 - TBD, Fall 2025
Competition 5 - Finals - Traverse Fitness - TBD, Winter 2025

Each gym manages its own registrations; our Events page includes links to those pages. Run times will be emailed to competitors; run times for Q3 at Ninja Republic will also be posted to our FB page just before the event.
